Milled mace from organic agriculture

Dried and finely ground mace from organic agriculture. The spices mace and nutmeg come from the Myristica fragrans tree - they are the seed and the dried covering of an evergreen tree indigenous to Indonesia. The first harvest of nutmeg trees takes place 7-9 years after planting, and the trees reach full production after 20 years. Nutmeg and mace are usually used in powdered form. Mace is incredibly versatile, and adds a warm, nutty, holiday-spice flavor when added to your cooking. It is characteristically aromatic and spicy, similar to that of nutmeg but flowery. Тhe best cooking often includes a hint of a contrasting flavour to bring out the main seasonings more clearly - mace works perfectly for that.

Mace is primarily used in baking and has long been the dominant flavor in doughnuts. It is often used in cakes, cookies, and in savory dishes just like its sibling, nutmeg. Mace combines well with allspice, cumin, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, cranberries, sugar, and vanilla and tastes great in eggs, pumpkin, yams, potatoes, sausage, veal, and stuffings. In Indian cuisine, nutmeg is used in many sweet as well as savoury dishes. In European cuisine, nutmeg is used especially in potato dishes and in processed meat products.

Originally from Jamaica, pimento is the dried fruit of the tamarisk Pimenta tree. The complex aroma and flavor of allspice combines both the tastes of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves, but it has its own distinctive and characteristic hot and peppery taste, so should not overdo its use.

Oregano is an important culinary herb, used for the flavour of its leaves, which can be more flavourful when dried than fresh. It has an aromatic, warm and slightly bitter taste, which can vary in intensity. Good quality oregano may be strong enough almost to numb the tongue, but the cultivars adapted to colder climates often have a lesser flavor.

Garlic powder is made from garlic cloves that have been dehydrated and ground into fine particles. The flavor is garlicky but vastly different than fresh-chopped garlic. It tastes sweeter and less harsh, but also without the caramelly undertones that you get from roasted or sauted garlic.
