Kaolin is a type of clay found in nature. Because it is unrefined, the dried clay is an off-white color.
Kaolin clay is the mildest of all the clays and is suitable for both sensitive and dry skin. It helps stimulate circulation to the skin while gently exfoliating and cleansing it. It does not draw oils from the skin, so it can be used on dry skin types without negative results. Kaolin clay forms a stable basis for face masks and it can be used by any type of skin.
Kaolin helps purify, nourish, soothe and heal different skin types. It improves skin tone without dryness or irritation, and it acts as a remineralizer of the skin. It also tightens the pores and improves skin smoothness, helps in the elimination of blemishes. Helps cleanse and lift impurities from the hair, adding shine, softness and elasticity.

Homemade facial masks are easy to use: assemble your mask ingredients (creating a thick, spreadable paste) and apply to cleansed face and throat, avoiding the eye area. Rinse with warm water after 15 to 20 minutes. You may experience a slight redness, which soon disappears. Stop using the mask if a rash appears. Use only glass, pottery or wooden bowls and utensils.
