Lemon eucalyptus essential oil, obtained by steam distillation of the leaves and twigs of the Eucalyptus citriodora plant. Despite belonging to the eucalyptus family, Lemon Eucalyptus Essential Oil does not possess the distinctive cineole (camphor-like) aroma that Eucalyptus globulus and Eucalyptus radiataare known for because it contains very little cineole. Instead, it has a lovely, sweet lemon aroma. Lemon Eucalyptus essential oil contains citronellal, an aldehyde that is strongly responsible for its aroma, antimicrobial properties and insect repellent capabilities. This oil is a regular ingredientin many formulations, most notably repellents, bites and cut healing creams. Citrodora specifically is commonly found in foot creams & anti-dandruff products.Emotionally, lemon eucalyptus essential oil is an energizing, uplifting essential oil that isn't too overpowering or stimulating.

Directions for use:

For external use only. All essential oils must be diluted in a vegetable oil or other suitable base and then used on the skin. It is best to use after a pre-made test for sensitivity - apply the essential oil in the pit of the elbow and wait at least 12 hours for adverse reactions. Direct and intensive inhaling of essential oils is not recommended for longer than a period of 15-20 minutes. This does not apply to oils diffused through vapourisers or aroma lamps. For best results, use an aroma lamp or a diffuser for 30-60 minutes, then turn it off for the same period of time and do not for get ro air the room from time to time. Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor's care, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas.
