The yellow beeswax is produced by bees, raised according to organic beekeeping standards. It is widely used in cosmetics as an important ingredient in a number of products because it helps to make the texture more dense or harder. Beeswax acts as a natural emulsifier and helps retain the moisture in the skin.

How to use:

You can incorporate beeswax in homemade cosmetic products. Melt it at a temperature of 61-66°C and add to the other ingredients in the recipe you are using.

Ingredients (INCI):

Cera alba* (beeswax)
* organic ingredient

Ylang-ylang and Coconut Lip-balm Recipe:
Ingredients:
• 1 tbsp coconut oil
• 1 tsp shea butter
• 1 tsp almond oil
• 1 tsp beeswax
• 4 drops ylang-ylang essential oil

Melt all ingredients, minus the essential oil, in a double boiler. When they start to cool slightly, add the ylang-ylang essential oil, stir well and pour the mixture in a suitable jar or re-use an old lip-balm container. Let it harden for about an hour and use within three months.
